🎉Successfully Concluded the 3rd BioMEMS and Microfluidic Technologies Workshop under the OrChESTRA Project!

We are delighted to announce the successful completion of the 3rd BioMEMS and Microfluidic Technologies Workshop. This event began with an open doors session, providing an excellent platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Day 1 Highlights:

Yesterday marked the end of the first day of our workshop, with engaging sessions and insightful presentations. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all attendees and contributors for making this event a success. Special gratitude goes to our distinguished speakers: Zeynep Altıntaş (Kiel University), Jérôme Charmet (Haute Ecole Arc), Arda Deniz Y. (Bogazici University), Prof. Martinus A. M. Gijs (EPFL), and Vania Silverio, Ph.D. (INESC MN) for their enlightening talks.

Special Session on MDR and IVDR:

The workshop kicked off with a special session on the Implementation of MDR and IVDR. Esteemed panelists Jana Russo (Moravcova) (MedTech Europe, Manager Medical Devices), Fikret Küçükdeveci (Kardinero Medical Systems Inc.), Ilke KARACA (Health Industry Employers' Association of Turkey), and Osman Dursun (Medloft Consultancy Doo) provided valuable insights.

Afternoon Sessions:

The afternoon was equally enriching with presentations from Elsa Batista, Ph.D. (Portuguese Institute for Quality), Levent Beker (Koç University), Mahmut Kamil Aslan (ETH Zurich and ODTÜ MEMS Center), and Hatice Ceylan Koydemir (Texas A&M University).

Over two days, our hybrid international workshop attracted more than 100 researchers and experts. We are already looking forward to hosting the fourth edition next year!

Poster Presentations:

During the poster presentations, researchers and students shared impressive work. We are pleased to announce that the Certificate of Best Poster Presentation Award was awarded to Rabia Mercimek for her outstanding presentation titled "Hydrodynamic Cavitation Induced Thrombolysis on a Clot-on-a-Chip Platform." Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ender Yıldırım, representing the organization committee, presented the award to Rabia Mercimek, recognizing her excellent work.
